Slow drains and running toilets booked for weekdays
Most plumbing calls are not emergencies, and they're still worth a few hundred dollars each. Emma books them into the day schedule with the fixture, the symptom and the access, so your plumber shows up with the right auger and the right cartridge.
A caller with a slow drain, a running toilet, a drip or a fixture to install.
Asks which fixture and what it's doing, gives your call-out fee and books a weekday visit.
A job with the fixture, brand if known, symptom and access already on it.
How it works
- Sorts urgent from not
Is water leaking out right now, is it the only toilet, is the drain backing up into another fixture. If yes, it goes to the emergency path.
- Gets the fixture right
Kitchen, bathroom or laundry, which floor, single or double sink, the tap brand if they can see it. A photo by text when it helps.
- Hears the symptom
Gurgling, slow for weeks, a smell, running every few minutes. Words the plumber uses to pick the tools.
- Gives your fee up front
Your call-out and any flat rates you've set, like a toilet rebuild. Anything else is priced on site.
- Books the visit
Two weekday windows, a text confirmation, and a reminder the day before to clear out under the sink.
- Adds the second job
Callers often mention a drip elsewhere. She adds it to the same visit so the trip covers both.
Example call
- CustomerMy kitchen sink is draining really slowly. It's not urgent but it's getting annoying.
- AI agentWe can sort that. Is it a double sink, and is the water coming up in the other side too?
- CustomerDouble, and yeah, it kind of gurgles into the other side.
- AI agentThanks, that helps. Our call-out is 129 dollars, which covers the first half hour. I have Tuesday between 8 and 10 or Wednesday between 1 and 3.
- CustomerTuesday. Oh, and the upstairs toilet runs every few minutes.
- AI agentI'll add that to the same visit. Could you clear out under the sink before Tuesday? I'll text you the window and a reminder.
After the call: Tuesday 8 to 10 shows a drain job in Mississauga, double kitchen sink gurgling across, plus a running upstairs toilet. The plumber's truck stock list flags a fill valve.

Questions
Will she give a price for the whole job?
She gives your call-out fee and any flat rates you set. The rest is priced by the plumber on site, and she says so.
What if it turns out to be an emergency?
If she hears water leaking now, a backup into a tub or the only toilet out, she switches to your emergency path right away.
Can she book bigger installs?
Yes. A new toilet, a vanity or a dishwasher hookup is booked with the right length of time, or as an estimate if you prefer.
