"Is she still available?" answered and meets booked
A dog goes up on your social media and the phone rings forty times by supper. Each caller hears whether she's still available, what she's like, and leaves with a meet-and-greet booked.
A caller asks about an animal they saw on your website, a pet listing site or social media.
Finds the animal, gives its live status and profile, asks your screening questions, books the meet.
Meet-and-greets in the schedule with the adopter's answers attached, and fewer calls at the desk.
How it works
- Finds the animal
By name, ID or description: "the grey cat with one ear". She confirms it's the right one before saying anything.
- Gives the live status
Available, on hold, pending adoption or adopted, from the animal's record right now.
- Answers from the profile
Age, size, good with cats or kids, energy level, medical notes your team chose to share, and the adoption fee.
- Asks your questions
Other pets, children, rent or own, landlord permission, a fenced yard. Only the ones your adoption team picked.
- Books the meet
Two open times with the animal and an adoption counsellor, and a text with the address and what to bring.
- Offers a close match
If the animal is on hold, she says so, offers to add them as a backup, and mentions similar animals in your care.
Example call
- CustomerHi, is the grey cat on your website still there? I think her name is Juniper.
- AI agentYes, Juniper is still available. She's about three, very calm and likes to sit on laps. She's okay with older kids but would prefer to be the only cat. Do you have other pets?
- CustomerNo pets. Just me and my partner in an apartment.
- AI agentThat sounds like a good fit for her. Do you rent? If so, does your building allow cats?
- CustomerWe rent, and yes, cats are allowed.
- AI agentGreat. Would you like to meet her? I have Thursday at 6 or Saturday at 11 with one of our adoption counsellors.
- CustomerSaturday at 11.
- AI agentYou're booked to meet Juniper on Saturday at 11. I'll text you the address and the adoption application, so you can fill it in before you come.
After the call: The adoption team sees Saturday's meet with Juniper, the caller's answers on pets, children and renting, and the application link sent. Juniper's record shows one meet booked.
What your team gets
- Meet-and-greets booked with the adopter's screening answers
- Live status given on every call, so no one drives in for an adopted dog
- Backup adopters noted on animals that are on hold
- Application links texted before the visit
- A count of calls per featured animal
Questions
Does she approve adopters?
Never. She asks the questions your team picked and books the meet. Every decision is made by your adoption counsellors.
What if two people want the same dog?
She books meets in the order you set and offers later callers a backup spot or a similar animal.
Does she explain the adoption fee?
Yes, the fee on the animal's record and what it includes, like spay or neuter, vaccines and a microchip.
