Inbound: the customer calls

Screen and battery prices by exact model

Someone with a cracked phone calls three shops and books the first one that gives a real price. The agent asks the exact model, reads your price for each part grade, checks the part is on your shelf and books a drop-off before they call the kiosk.

When it starts

A caller asks how much for a screen, battery, charging port, back glass or laptop keyboard.

What the agent does

Pins down the exact model, quotes your price by part grade, checks the part, books a drop-off.

What your team gets

A drop-off on the schedule with the model, the part reserved and the symptom in the customer's words.

How it works

  1. Pins down the model

iPhone 14 or 14 Plus, Galaxy S23 or S23 FE, MacBook Air M1 or M2. If they aren't sure, it tells them where to find it in settings or on the bottom case.

  2. Quotes your price list

Original and aftermarket screens at your prices, plus tax, and what your warranty covers on each. A model or repair not on the list is booked as an assessment.

  3. Checks the part

Reads your parts stock for that model. In stock means same day. Not in stock means the arrival date from your supplier order.

  4. Books the drop-off

Two times when a tech is free for that job, with how long the repair usually takes.

  5. Says what to bring

The passcode so the tech can test it, the charger for a laptop, Find My turned off for an iPhone, and a backup if they can.

  6. Sends the confirmation

To the number they want, which matters when they're calling from a friend's phone because theirs is broken.

Example call

  1. AI agentThanks for calling Fix Point Repair in Kanata, this is Emma. What can we fix for you?
  2. CustomerI cracked my iPhone screen. How much to fix it?
  3. AI agentSorry to hear it. Which model is it? If you're not sure, it's under Settings, General, About.
  4. CustomerIt's a 13 Pro.
  5. AI agentThanks. On the 13 Pro we have a premium screen at 229 dollars or an original Apple screen at 349, plus tax, both with our 90-day warranty. We have both in stock, so it's about an hour.
  6. CustomerThe cheaper one is fine. Can I come at lunch?
  7. AI agentI have 12:10 or 12:40 today. ... 12:10 it is. Bring your passcode, and please turn off Find My before you come. I'll text you the address.

After the call: The 12:10 drop-off shows a 13 Pro premium screen with the part reserved, and the customer has a text with the address and the reminder to turn off Find My.

What your team gets

  • Parts reserved for each booking so the tech isn't caught short

Set up with you: The team loads your price list by model and part grade, your warranty terms and opening hours, and sets up a connection to your RepairDesk, RepairShopr or CellSmart POS parts stock and appointment calendar.

Questions

What if the model isn't on our price list?

It doesn't guess. It books an assessment and says the tech will give a price once they see it.

Does it explain original versus aftermarket?

Yes, in the words you give it: how they differ, the price of each and the warranty on each.

Can it book laptop and tablet repairs too?

Yes. Batteries, keyboards, screens, drives and charging ports, priced and timed the same way.

What about a phone that won't turn on?

No-power and won't-boot problems are booked as a diagnostic, never quoted as a repair over the phone.
