Inbound: the customer calls

Painting estimates booked with rooms, trim and ceilings

The crew lead is cutting in a ceiling and the owner is three ladders up. The agent books the estimate on the first ring, with the rooms counted and the listing date written down.

When it starts

A homeowner, seller or realtor calls about painting inside or out.

What the agent does

Asks rooms, ceilings, trim, condition and colour change, explains prep, books the estimator.

What your team gets

An estimate on the calendar with a scope your estimator can price from.

How it works

  1. Counts the job

Which rooms, walls only or ceilings, trim and doors too, and stairwells. Outside: siding, stucco or brick, how many storeys, decks and fences.

  2. Asks about the walls

Patches and nail holes, wallpaper to come off, a dark red going to white. Each one changes the price, so each goes in the notes.

  3. Notes the deadline

A listing date, a move-in, a family visit at Thanksgiving. Written on the booking so your estimator can say yes or no honestly.

  4. Explains your prep

Who moves the furniture, how floors are covered, how long before a room can be used. From your policy, in plain words.

  5. Books the estimator

Open times by area, and a text with the time and what to have ready, like the colours they're thinking about.

Example call

  1. CustomerHi, we're listing the house in two weeks and need the whole inside painted. Is that possible?
  2. AI agentLet's find out. Roughly how many rooms, and are ceilings and trim part of it?
  3. CustomerThree bedrooms, living room and hall. Walls and trim. The ceilings are fine.
  4. AI agentThanks. Are any of the walls a dark colour now, or have a lot of patching?
  5. CustomerOne bedroom is navy. The rest are beige.
  6. AI agentGood to know, navy usually needs an extra coat. Nadia can come Thursday at 4 or Friday at 9 to measure and confirm the timing. Which is better?
  7. CustomerThursday. Do we have to move the furniture?
  8. AI agentThe crew moves it to the middle of each room and covers it, you just take down pictures and small things. You're booked Thursday at 4, and I've noted the listing date for Nadia.

After the call: Nadia has Thursday at 4 with five rooms, walls and trim, one navy bedroom, and "listing in two weeks" flagged. The seller has a text with the time and the prep note.

What your team gets

  • Estimates with rooms, surfaces and condition counted
  • Listing and move-in deadlines on the booking
  • Colour changes and wallpaper flagged for pricing
  • Your prep and furniture policy explained the same way every time
  • Estimator visits grouped by area
Set up with you: The team sets up a connection to your Jobber, JobNimbus or Housecall Pro schedule and your estimator calendars, and loads your prep policy, service area, the surfaces you paint and your minimum job.

Questions

Will it quote a price per room?

Only if you've given it one. Otherwise the price comes from your estimator after the measure.

Can it promise we'll finish before a listing date?

No. It writes the date down so your estimator can look at the job and say honestly whether it fits.

Does it book cabinet painting?

Yes. It asks how many doors and drawers and explains your cabinet process from what you've given it.
