Inbound: the customer calls

Phones left in the back seat logged and returned

A rider who left their phone in a cab calls in a panic. The agent finds the trip from the time and the address, asks the driver to check, and calls them back when it turns up.

When it starts

A rider calls about something left in a taxi or limo.

What the agent does

Takes the item and trip details, finds the trip, messages the driver, calls back when it's found.

What your team gets

A logged item tied to the trip and the driver, and a rider kept informed.

How it works

  1. Takes the item

What it is, colour, case, anything that makes it easy to spot.

  2. Finds the trip

From the time, pickup and drop-off, or the booking on their phone number. That tells it which car and driver.

  3. Asks the driver

A message to the driver to check the back seat at their next stop.

  4. Calls back

When the driver finds it, the rider hears where to pick it up, or how it will be dropped off.

  5. Logs the rest

Items not found yet stay on the lost-and-found list with the trip details.

  6. Never promises

It doesn't say the item is there until the driver confirms.

Example call

  1. CustomerI think I left my phone in one of your cabs about an hour ago.
  2. AI agentLet's find it. Where did the ride start and end?
  3. CustomerSpring Garden Road to Bedford, around 9:30. I'm calling from my friend's phone.
  4. AI agentI've found the trip, car 31. What does the phone look like?
  5. CustomerBlack iPhone in a green case.
  6. AI agentI've messaged the driver to check the back seat. Can I call you back on this number when he does?
  7. CustomerYes, please.

After the call: The driver of car 31 finds the phone 20 minutes later. The rider gets a call back with the office address and hours, and the item is logged as found on the trip.

What your team gets

  • Lost items tied to the trip, car and driver
  • Drivers messaged to check right away
  • Riders called back when the item turns up
  • A lost-and-found list with the trip details
  • Fewer calls to dispatch about lost items
Set up with you: The team sets up a connection to your dispatch system so the agent finds trips and messages drivers, and sets where found items are kept and how they're returned.
