Inbound: the customer calls

Non-drivable cars towed to your lot, not a rival's

The car that can't be driven is the one most likely to end up at whatever shop the tow driver prefers. The agent captures the location and claim, sends the tow-in to your partner, and the car lands on your lot.

When it starts

A caller says the car won't drive, is leaking, or has a wheel pushed in after a crash.

What the agent does

Takes where the car is and what it needs, sends the tow-in to your partner, texts the driver.

What your team gets

A tow-in request on the way and a file waiting when the car arrives.

How it works

  1. Confirms it can't be driven

A wheel at an angle, fluids on the ground, an airbag out, or lights that don't work all mean it comes in on a truck.

  2. Finds out where it is

The scene, a police collision reporting centre, a tow yard, or the driver's own driveway, with the address and where on the lot.

  3. Sends the tow-in

The location, vehicle and owner's number go to your tow partner by text and email at once, with the claim number if it's ready.

  4. Opens the file

Insurer, claim and adjuster details go on a new file, so the estimator can start the day the car arrives.

  5. Tells the driver what to expect

That the tow partner will call with a pickup time, to take personal items out of the car, and to sign the authorization when your shop texts it.

  6. Watches for arrival

When the car is checked in, the driver gets a text that it's on your lot and when to expect the estimator's call.

  3. CustomerRoyal City Towing. Yes, Priyanka Nair. 2019 Tucson.
  4. AI agentThanks. Do you have your claim number and insurer handy?
  5. CustomerAviva, claim A-884120.
  6. AI agentGot it. I'm sending the tow-in request to our tow partner now, and they'll call you to arrange release. Please grab anything personal from the car if you can get to the yard.
  7. CustomerOkay. How will I know it's there?
  8. AI agentYou'll get a text from Speedvale Collision the moment it's checked in, with the estimator's name.

After the call: The tow partner has the yard, owner, vehicle and claim by text within a minute. A file opens with Aviva claim A-884120, and Ms. Nair gets a text when the Tucson is checked in that afternoon.

What your team gets

  • Tow-in requests sent to your partner with location, owner and claim
  • A file opened before the car arrives
  • A check-in text to the owner when the car reaches your lot
  • Repair authorizations texted for signature
  • Cars that would have gone elsewhere landing at your shop
Set up with you: The team sets up a connection to your shop management system and your tow partner's job intake, and sets who receives tow-in requests at what hours, including weekends.

Questions

Will it promise a pickup time?

No. It sends the request and tells the driver your tow partner will call with a time.

Can it handle a car sitting at a police reporting centre?

Yes. It takes which centre and the report details, and sends the tow-in like any other location.

What about storage charges at another yard?

It tells the driver that the adjuster and your team will sort out release, and notes the yard on the file.
