Highway breakdowns pinned to the kilometre marker
The driver is under someone else's car with gloves on and the phone rings. The agent answers, gets the highway, direction, last exit and kilometre marker, the vehicle and how it needs to be towed, and the job is on the on-call driver's phone before the caller hangs up.
A breakdown or roadside call, any hour, any number at once.
Pins the location, takes the vehicle and hookup needs, sends the job to dispatch or the on-call driver.
A job with an exact location, vehicle, callback number and tow type.
How it works
- Answers every ring
Day, night and the first freezing-rain evening, several calls at once, in your company's name.
- Checks they're safe
Off the road, hazards on, everyone out of the traffic side. Anyone hurt or in a live lane hears your safety instructions and goes straight to dispatch.
- Pins the spot
Highway and direction, the last exit or overpass, the green kilometre marker, a landmark. On a concession road, the closest crossroad and which side. Then it reads the location back.
- Gets the hookup facts
Year, make and model, all-wheel drive or not, does it roll, in a ditch or a parkade, keys with the car. That decides flatbed or wheel-lift.
- Sends the job
To the dispatcher or the on-call driver you set, by text and email, with a callback number and the caller's motor club or payment method.
- Texts the caller
A confirmation that the job is in, with your company name and that the driver will call with an arrival time.
Example call
- AI agentNorth Bay Towing and Recovery, this is Emma. Are you somewhere safe right now?
- CustomerYeah, I'm pulled off on the shoulder. Car just quit on Highway 11.
- AI agentOkay. Which direction are you going, and can you see a kilometre marker or the last exit you passed?
- CustomerNorthbound. I passed the Trout Lake Road exit maybe five minutes ago. There's a sign that says 344.
- AI agentThanks. Northbound 11, past Trout Lake Road, near marker 344. What's the vehicle, and is it all-wheel drive?
- Customer2015 Silverado, four-by-four.
- AI agentThat'll go on the flatbed. Do you have roadside coverage through a motor club, or will you pay the driver?
- CustomerI'll just pay.
- AI agentGot it. The job is with our on-call driver now, and he'll call this number with an arrival time. I'll text you a confirmation. Stay in the truck with your hazards on.
After the call: The on-call driver gets a text and email: Silverado 4x4, northbound Highway 11 past Trout Lake Road near marker 344, flatbed, customer pay, with the callback number. The caller has a confirmation text.

- Motor club or customer-pay recorded up front
- A text and email to dispatch or the on-call driver within seconds
- Recording and transcript if the location needs a second listen
Questions
Can it handle a caller who doesn't know where they are?
It asks for what they can see: the last sign, a business, which way the sun or the lake is. It reads back what it has and lets the driver call to narrow it down.
Does it wake the driver for every call?
Only for the job types you choose at night, like roadside breakdowns and collisions. Transports wait for morning.
What about motor club jobs?
It takes the membership or the club's job number and puts it on the job so billing is clean.
