Inbound: the customer calls

Insulated door enquiries booked for a measure

The caller who just paid for a spring is often the one who asks about a new door next. Emma collects what your showroom asks, gives the starting prices on your list, and books the measure.

When it starts

A homeowner asks about a new door, an insulated door, windows, or a quieter opener.

What the agent does

Asks your showroom's questions, gives starting prices, books a measure or a showroom visit.

What your team gets

A sales lead with the opening size, style wishes and budget range, on the estimator's calendar.

How it works

  1. Starts with the opening

Single or double, roughly how wide, attached or detached garage, and whether it's heated. A heated garage usually means a heavier insulated door.

  2. Talks style and colour

Raised panel, carriage house or flush modern, a window row or not, and the colour of the trim and siding. She uses the door lines you carry.

  3. Gives starting prices

Only the starting prices your list gives for each line, with a note that the estimator confirms after the measure.

  4. Asks about the opener

Keeping the old one or adding a belt drive or wall-mount opener, and whether they want phone control.

  5. Books the measure

She sees the estimator's open times for the town and books the in-home measure, or a showroom visit if they want to see samples.

  6. Sends the lead to sales

The estimator gets the summary, any photo of the house front the customer texts, and the timing they mentioned.

Example call

  1. CustomerWe just had a spring fixed by you guys. Now we're thinking we want a proper insulated door. The garage is heated.
  2. AI agentGood timing for it. Is it the same double door, and what style do you like, more traditional or modern?
  3. CustomerDouble. Something with windows across the top, black if that's a thing.
  4. AI agentIt is, black is popular right now. Our insulated carriage-style double doors start at about 3,400 installed, and Andrea confirms the price after she measures. Would you like a new opener quoted too?
  5. CustomerYes, a quiet one.
  6. AI agentI'll note a belt drive. Andrea can measure Tuesday at 5 or Thursday at 4. Which is better?
  7. CustomerThursday.
  8. AI agentBooked for Thursday at 4. If you text a photo of the front of the house, she'll bring the right samples.

After the call: Andrea has Thursday 4:00 with the double opening, carriage style with a window row, black, heated garage and a belt-drive opener. The customer's spring repair from last month shows on the same file.

What your team gets

  • Measures booked on the estimator's calendar by area
  • Door style, colour, insulation and opener wishes noted before the visit
  • Starting prices given only from your list
  • Photos of the house front attached to the lead
  • A record of which repair customers turned into door sales
Set up with you: The team sets up a connection to your estimator calendar, CRM and price list for the door lines you carry, and loads the questions your showroom asks on a new door.

Questions

Will it give a final price?

No. It gives the starting prices you set for each door line. The estimator confirms after the measure.

Can it book a showroom visit instead?

Yes. If the customer wants to see colours and window inserts in person, it books a time at the showroom.

What if they're getting quotes from three companies?

It answers kindly, books the measure, and notes it so your estimator knows to follow up quickly.
