Inbound: the customer calls

Holiday hours, height rules and "is it too scary?"

On a PA day the counter is handing out grip socks to a line out the door. The phone gets answered anyway, with the right hours for that exact day, the real height rule and an honest word on the zombie room.

When it starts

A parent calls with a question before they come, often many at once on school holidays.

What the agent does

Answers hours for that date, admission, age and height rules, what to bring, and books lanes or rooms.

What your team gets

A quieter counter, consistent answers on rules, and lanes and rooms booked from the calls.

How it works

  1. Answers for the exact day

Family Day, Thanksgiving Monday, March Break and PA days each have their own hours. It gives the hours for the day the parent is asking about.

  2. Gives admission from your price list

Jump passes by the hour, toddler time, bowling by the game or the hour, laser tag rounds, escape rooms per player.

  3. States the rules as written

Minimum height for the ropes course in centimetres, minimum age for laser tag, an adult in every escape room for under-12s. No exceptions on the phone.

  4. Describes rooms honestly

Each escape room's theme, difficulty and whether there are jump scares, the way your game master describes it. The choice stays with the parent.

  5. Covers what to bring

Grip socks required and sold at the counter, waivers signed before arrival, lockers for coats.

  6. Books what can be booked

A lane, an escape room time or a toddler session, with a text confirmation and the waiver link.

Example call

  1. CustomerHi, is the escape room scary? My daughter is nine.
  2. AI agentWe have three rooms. The Toy Workshop is our family room, bright and puzzle-based, with no scares at all. The Haunted Cabin has dim lights and a couple of jump scares, and we suggest it for 12 and up.
  3. CustomerWorkshop sounds right. Can she play with her two friends and me?
  4. AI agentYes, four players is perfect for that room, and an adult needs to play with anyone under 12, so you're set. It's 28 dollars a player.
  5. CustomerDo you have Saturday afternoon?
  6. AI agentI have 1:15 or 3:45. ... 1:15 it is. I'll text you the booking and the waiver link for all four. Arrive 15 minutes early for the briefing.

After the call: The Toy Workshop is booked Saturday at 1:15 for four players, one adult. Mom has the waiver link and signs all four that night, so check-in on Saturday takes a minute.

What your team gets

  • The right hours for every holiday and school break
  • Height, age and supervision rules said the same way every time
  • Lanes, rooms and sessions booked from question calls
  • Waiver links sent before arrival
  • Fewer calls at the counter on the busiest days
Set up with you: The team loads your hours calendar, price list, rules and room descriptions, and sets up a connection to your ROLLER or CenterEdge bookings and waiver link so lanes and rooms are booked live.

Questions

Will it bend a height rule for a nearly-tall-enough child?

No. It gives the rule as written and says staff measure at the attraction.

Does it know our holiday hours?

You add them ahead of time, and it gives the hours for the exact day asked about.

Can it sell tickets?

It books timed sessions, lanes and rooms, and texts your payment or waiver link as you've set it up.
