Inbound: the customer calls

Walk-in wait times answered, chairs booked

Nobody stops a skin fade halfway to grab the phone. The agent tells the caller how long the bench is right now, and offers a booked chair with the barber he wants so he doesn't drive over for nothing.

When it starts

A caller asks about the walk-in wait, or wants a cut, beard trim or shave with a barber.

What the agent does

Reads the live wait, books the barber and service he asks for, gives prices, hours and payment.

What your team gets

A booked chair with the service and the barber, and fewer guys walking out of a full shop.

How it works

  1. Picks up through the clippers

Thursday after work to Saturday afternoon, every call is answered in the shop's name while all four chairs are going.

  2. Gives the honest wait

From the walk-in queue and the bookings: "About forty minutes for a walk-in right now, three guys ahead of you." No guessing.

  3. Offers a booked chair

If the wait is long, the next opening with the barber he names, or any barber who does that cut if he just wants it done today.

  4. Books the right service

Skin fade, scissor cut, beard trim and line-up, hot towel shave or a kids' cut, each with its own time from your price list.

  5. Covers the counter questions

Prices, hours, whether you take cash, debit or cards, parking out back, and whether the shop takes kids under five.

  6. Texts the confirmation

Barber, time, service and the shop address, plus your late rule: more than ten minutes and the chair may go to a walk-in.

What your team gets

  • Booked chairs with the barber and the exact service
  • Callers told the real walk-in wait, not a guess
  • Price, hours and payment questions kept off the barbers
  • Kids' cuts booked only with barbers who do them
  • The owner can read what the bench-wait callers asked, any night, in the portal
Set up with you: The team loads your services, times and prices, sets up a connection to your shop booking app (Booksy, Squire or Square Appointments) and its walk-in queue, and sets which barbers take which cuts.

Questions

How does it know the walk-in wait?

It reads the walk-in queue and the booked chairs for the next hour, and works out a time from your average cut lengths. It rounds up rather than down.

Can it hold a walk-in spot?

If your shop takes call-ahead names, it adds him to the queue. If not, it offers the next booked time.

Does it book with whoever is free?

Only if the caller says any barber is fine. Otherwise it books the barber he asks for.

Can it take a kids' cut for a four-year-old who won't sit still?

Yes. It books with the barbers you say do kids, notes the age and anything the parent mentions, and can put a parent and child back to back.
