Inbound: the customer calls

Hems, take-ins and bridesmaid fittings with the tailor

The tailor is in the back with a mouth full of pins and can't pick up. Callers get a fitting on her real days, hear the hem price from your list, and arrive wearing the shoes, so one fitting is enough.

When it starts

A caller asking about hemming, taking in, letting out or a bridal or bridesmaid fitting.

What the agent does

Asks the garment and the event date, books the fitting, says what to bring, gives list prices.

What your team gets

A fitting on the tailor's schedule with the garment, the work and the date it's needed.

How it works

  1. Hears the job

Dress pants hemmed, a suit jacket taken in, a zipper replaced, a bridesmaid dress shortened. And the date it's needed.

  2. Gives the list price

Hems, sleeves, take-ins and zippers from your price list. Anything custom is quoted by the tailor at the fitting.

  3. Books the tailor's days

Only the days and times the tailor is in, with longer slots for bridal work.

  4. Says what to bring

The shoes they'll wear, the undergarments for a gown, and the garment itself, clean if it needs cleaning first.

  5. Times it to the event

It counts back from the wedding or grad date so the final fitting isn't the day before.

  6. Confirms and reminds

A text with the time and what to bring, and a reminder the day before.

Example call

  1. CustomerDo you hem dress pants? And how long does it take?
  2. AI agentWe do. A plain hem is 18 dollars, and it's usually ready in five working days. When do you need them?
  3. CustomerA wedding on the 28th.
  4. AI agentThat's plenty of time. Mrs. Petrova pins hems Tuesday to Saturday. I have Thursday at 5:15 or Saturday at 10.
  5. CustomerSaturday at 10.
  6. AI agentBooked. Wear the shoes you'll have on at the wedding so she can get the length right. I'll text you the time.

After the call: Mrs. Petrova's Saturday 10:00 shows a dress-pant hem needed by the 28th. The customer has a confirmation text with the reminder about the shoes, and a day-before text is set.

What your team gets

  • Fittings on the tailor's real days
  • List prices for hems, sleeves, take-ins and zippers
  • Fittings timed to the wedding or grad date
  • Customers arriving with the right shoes and undergarments
  • Confirmation and reminder texts
Set up with you: The team loads your alteration price list and the tailor's days, and sets up a connection to your order software and scheduling so fittings land on the tailor's calendar with the event date.

Questions

Can it quote a full gown alteration?

It gives the prices on your list. Bridal work that depends on the dress is quoted by the tailor at the first fitting.

What about grad season?

It books grad and prom fittings far enough ahead of the date, and opens extra slots when you add them.

Does it book more than one fitting?

Yes. Bridal and bridesmaid work can get a first fitting and a final one, spaced the way your tailor likes.
