Inbound: the customer calls

Funeral, interview and wedding rush requests

"I need my suit pressed for a funeral tomorrow morning." The caller hears your real rush times, a yes when your rules guarantee one, and when they don't, the counter has the request and the deadline in seconds, not at closing.

When it starts

A caller who needs a garment cleaned, pressed or altered by a set time.

What the agent does

Takes the garment and deadline, books guaranteed rush times, sends the rest to the counter marked urgent.

What your team gets

Rush requests with the deadline on top, and a call-back to the customer with a real answer.

How it works

  1. Hears the deadline

What the garment is, what it needs, and when it has to be ready. The occasion is taken gently: a funeral, an interview, a wedding.

  2. Checks your rush rules

Same-day if it's in by 9, next-morning if it's in by 5, or whatever your plant guarantees, with the rush charge on your list.

  3. Books what you guarantee

Inside your rules, it books the rush and tells the caller when to drop it off and pick it up.

  4. Sends the rest to the counter

Outside your rules, it never promises. The counter and owner get the garment, the deadline and the number, marked urgent.

  5. Adds the alteration

A hem or a button on a rush job is booked with the tailor, so the counter sees the whole job together.

Example call

  1. CustomerHi, I need my suit cleaned and pressed for a funeral tomorrow at eleven. Can you do it?
  2. AI agentI'm sorry for your loss. Our next-morning rush covers anything in by 5 today, ready by 9 tomorrow. The rush charge is 12 dollars on top of the suit.
  3. CustomerI can bring it at 4. The trousers are also a little long.
  4. AI agentMrs. Petrova, our tailor, is in until 6 and can pin them at 4 while you wear the shoes. A rush hem is something she has to say yes to, so I'll put it to her now and call you back within the hour.
  5. CustomerThank you. Ravi Sharma, this number.
  6. AI agentYou're booked for 4 o'clock with the suit and shoes. The suit will be ready by 9 tomorrow, and you'll hear about the hem shortly.

After the call: The rush suit is on tomorrow's 9 a.m. list, and Mrs. Petrova got the hem request marked urgent with the 11 o'clock funeral. She said yes, and Ravi had a call back with the answer twenty minutes later.

Questions

Will it promise a rush the plant can't do?

No. It only promises the times your rules guarantee. Anything outside them goes to the counter for a real yes or no.

Can it handle Saturday or Sunday rushes?

It tells callers the weekend times you've set, and takes the request for the counter outside them.

Who calls the customer back?

The counter or the owner, or the agent itself once someone marks the request yes or no.
