Missed-delivery cards rebooked for an evening slot
A parcel that sits on a shelf after a missed attempt is a cost and a complaint waiting to happen. The agent calls the recipient the same evening and books a time they'll actually be there.
A driver marks a delivery attempted, or a recipient calls about a missed-delivery card.
Calls the recipient, books a redelivery window or depot pickup, updates the route.
A booked second attempt instead of a parcel on the shelf.
How it works
- Starts from the scan
When a driver scans "attempted", the job comes up with the reason: nobody home, business closed, wrong buzzer.
- Calls that evening
Inside the calling hours you set, with the sender's name so they know what it is.
- Offers real windows
Tomorrow's windows that still have room on the route for that area, or a pickup at your depot with its hours.
- Fixes what went wrong
A wrong buzzer, a closed loading dock, a gate code. It goes on the stop so the second try works.
- Updates everyone
The route has the new window, the recipient gets a text, and the sender sees the new date on tracking.
- Takes inbound calls too
A recipient who calls first with the card number gets the same rebooking.
Example call
- AI agentHi, is this Priya? It's Emma from Swift Lane Couriers. We tried to drop off a parcel from Northern Optical today and nobody was in.
- CustomerYeah, I was at work. Can you bring it tomorrow?
- AI agentOf course. Tomorrow I have between 5 and 7 or between 7 and 9 for your area. Or you can grab it from our Bank Street depot until 6.
- Customer7 to 9 is perfect.
- AI agentBooked between 7 and 9. The driver said the buzzer listed you as "Patel". Is that right?
- CustomerOh, it's under my husband's name, Singh. Buzzer 0412.
- AI agentThanks, I've put Singh, buzzer 0412, on the stop. You'll get a text when the driver is on the way.
After the call: The redelivery is on tomorrow's evening route with the corrected buzzer, Priya has a confirmation text, and Northern Optical's tracking shows the new date.
What your team gets
- Second attempts booked the same evening
- Wrong buzzers and gate codes fixed before the retry
- Depot pickups booked for recipients who prefer them
- Senders' tracking updated with the new date
- Parcels on the shelf counted each morning
Questions
Can the recipient have it left at the door?
Only if the sender allows it for that parcel. Signature jobs always need a signature.
What if they never answer?
It leaves a message and texts them the choices. After your last attempt, it tells the sender where the parcel is.
Does it work for business closures?
Yes. It calls the business the next morning and books a time they're open.
