Outbound: the agent calls

Recipients called before a signature delivery

A second attempt costs you a driver's half hour and the sender's patience. The agent calls ahead on every signature drop, and the ones nobody would be home for get moved before the driver goes.

When it starts

A job that needs a signature, ID check or a named person at the drop.

What the agent does

Calls the recipient, confirms someone is there, moves the time or the drop point if not.

What your team gets

Fewer failed attempts and a note on the job for the driver.

How it works

  1. Picks the jobs

Signature, ID-check and hand-to-named-person jobs on today's route, plus any home delivery after 5.

  2. Calls ahead

When the driver is a set number of stops away, it calls the recipient with the sender's name and a rough time.

  3. Confirms who's there

That the named person, or someone allowed to sign, will be at the door or reception.

  4. Moves it if needed

A later window today, tomorrow, a neighbour or a different suite the sender allows. The change goes on the driver's route.

  5. Gives the driver a note

Buzzer codes, the side door, ask for Linda in shipping. It reaches the driver before they park.

  6. Tells the sender

If the drop moves, the sender gets a text with the new time.

Example call

  1. AI agentHi, is this Andrew Kowal? It's Emma from Swift Lane Couriers. We have a signature delivery for you from Bayview Notary, arriving in about 20 minutes.
  2. CustomerOh, I'm actually heading out. Can it come after 6?
  3. AI agentI can move it to between 6 and 8 tonight. Will you be at the same address on Elgin?
  4. CustomerYes. Buzzer 1204.
  5. AI agentDone, between 6 and 8, buzzer 1204. You'll get a text when the driver's on the way.

After the call: The drop moves to the evening route with buzzer 1204 noted, the afternoon driver skips the stop, and Bayview Notary gets a text with the new window.

What your team gets

  • Recipients called before every signature drop
  • Drops moved before the driver wastes a trip
  • Buzzer codes and door notes on the driver's stop
  • Senders texted when a delivery time changes
  • Failed attempts by account, month over month
Set up with you: The team sets up a connection to your dispatch and routing software so the agent sees signature jobs and driver progress, and sets how many stops ahead it calls and what drops a sender allows.

Questions

Does it call for every parcel?

No. Only the jobs you choose, usually signature, ID-check and evening home deliveries.

Can the recipient redirect it?

Only to places the sender allows, such as a neighbour or a different suite. Anything else goes to dispatch.

What if nobody answers?

It leaves a short message and sends a text with a link to choose a time, and the driver goes as planned.
