Inbound: the customer calls

Fall haul-out, winterizing and shrink-wrap booked

The haul-out list fills in a few weeks of September. Every boater who calls gets a date the travel lift can do, and the yard gets the boat's size and the work in one place.

When it starts

A boater calls about coming out of the water, storage, wrap or winter service.

What the agent does

Books the haul-out on a yard day, picks storage, writes the winter work list.

What your team gets

A haul-out schedule the yard can plan around, with work orders already started.

How it works

  1. Finds the boat

From the boater's account: length, weight, keel or outdrive, and where it lived last winter.

  2. Offers the yard days

Open haul-out days the travel lift crew has released, in your order: sailboats first, or by dock.

  3. Picks the storage

Indoor heated, indoor cold or outdoor on stands, at your prices for the boat's size.

  4. Writes the work list

Winterizing, shrink-wrap, bottom wash, bellows, a battery tender, the canvas to pull. Each from your service menu with its price.

  5. Books and confirms

A text and email with the date, what to empty before haul-out, and the deposit if you take one.

  6. Starts the work orders

Service sees each job on the boat's record before the boat comes out.

Example call

  1. CustomerHi, I want to book our haul-out. It's Kincaid, the 28-foot Catalina on D dock.
  2. AI agentHi Mr. Kincaid. Sailboats come out the week of October 6. I have the 7th or the 9th. Which works?
  3. CustomerThe 9th. And can we get it wrapped this year?
  4. AI agentYes. Shrink-wrap for a 28-footer is 22 dollars a foot, and outdoor storage on stands is 1,150. Would you like winterizing on the engine too?
  5. CustomerYes please, and pull the mast.
  6. AI agentGot it: haul-out October 9, mast pulled, winterized, shrink-wrapped and stored outside. I'll text you the confirmation and the list of what to take off before the 9th.

After the call: The yard schedule shows the Catalina coming out on October 9 with the mast pulled, and work orders for winterizing and shrink-wrap are open on the boat. Mr. Kincaid has the pre-haul-out checklist by text.

What your team gets

  • Haul-outs booked on the yard days you release
  • Storage picked by boat size and type
  • Winter work orders opened from your service menu
  • Pre-haul-out checklists texted to each boater
  • A full yard schedule the crew can plan the weeks around
Set up with you: The team loads your storage types, prices and service menu, sets up a connection to your marina software, yard schedule and payment processor, and sets the order boats come out in.

Questions

Can it price the winter work?

Yes, from your service menu. Jobs not on the menu go to the service manager as a quote request.

What about indoor storage that's full?

It offers the waitlist and outdoor storage, and calls back if an indoor spot opens.

Does it book in the order we want?

Yes. It offers only the days and slots your yard releases, by boat type or dock.
