Prescription diet and medication refills taken
"I need another bag of the kidney food" is the call that interrupts the front desk twenty times a day. Each one becomes a clean refill request, checked against the record, with a pickup time.
An owner calls for more prescription food or a repeat medication.
Finds the pet, checks the product and refills on file, takes the order, sets pickup.
A ready-to-fill request for the pharmacy team, or a note when the vet must approve first.
How it works
- Finds the pet
By the owner's phone number and the pet's name. It confirms the pet before it reads anything back.
- Reads the product
The diet or medication on the pet's record, with the size and strength, so the owner doesn't have to read the bag.
- Checks the refills
Refills left and when the pet was last seen. If the vet needs to recheck or approve first, it says so and books the recheck.
- Takes the order
Quantity, any other products in stock, and the price from your list if they ask.
- Sets pickup
Ready time, curbside or front desk, or home delivery if your clinic offers it. A text when it's ready.
- Sends it to pharmacy
The pharmacy team gets the request with pet, product, quantity and pickup time, ready to fill.
Example call
- CustomerHi, I need more of Pepper's kidney food. The canned one.
- AI agentOf course. Is this for Pepper Nguyen, the 14-year-old cat?
- CustomerThat's her.
- AI agentI see the renal wet food, the 156-gram cans. Last time you took a case of 24. Same again?
- CustomerYes. And she's almost out of her blood pressure pills.
- AI agentI see the amlodipine with one refill left, so I'll add it. It'll be ready tomorrow after 2 for curbside. Should I text you when it's in the bag?
- CustomerYes please.
After the call: The pharmacy team has a request for a case of renal cans and Pepper's last amlodipine refill, ready tomorrow at 2 for curbside. Because it's the last refill, Dr. Gagnon has a note to plan Pepper's recheck.

Questions
Can it refill a medication without the vet?
Only within the refills your vet already authorized. Anything else is sent to the vet, and the owner is told when to expect an answer.
Will it give dosing advice?
No. It reads the instructions on the prescription. Questions about dose or side effects go to a technician or the vet.
Can it check if a food is in stock?
Yes, from your inventory. If it's out, it says when the next order arrives or offers the size you have.
