Outbound: the agent calls

Spay, neuter and dental pre-op and recovery calls

A pet who ate breakfast means a cancelled surgery and an empty slot. The night-before call prevents that, and the call the next day catches the incision a technician should see.

When it starts

A surgery or dental is booked for tomorrow, or was done yesterday.

What the agent does

Gives fasting and drop-off instructions, confirms consent forms, checks recovery the day after.

What your team gets

A full surgery list in the morning, and any worrying recovery answers sent to a technician.

How it works

  1. Calls the night before

Food up by midnight, water until the morning, drop-off time, and how long the pet will stay. In your clinic's words.

  2. Confirms the paperwork

Consent form and estimate signed, bloodwork chosen or declined, and the best number to call during the day.

  3. Moves it if needed

A pet who's sick or an owner who can't make it is moved to another surgery day, so the slot can be filled.

  4. Calls the day after

Eating, energy, the incision, the cone, and whether the pain medication is going down.

  5. Flags what worries

Swelling, discharge, not eating, vomiting or a chewed incision goes to a technician right away, with the owner's words.

  6. Books the recheck

The suture removal or dental recheck at the interval your vet set, with a text confirmation.

Example call

  1. AI agentHi Mr. Lambert, it's Emma from Bayview Animal Hospital. Just checking in on Daisy after her spay yesterday. How is she doing?
  2. CustomerPretty good. She ate a bit of supper. But the incision looks a little red this morning.
  3. AI agentThanks for telling me. Is there any swelling, or anything coming from it?
  4. CustomerMaybe a little puffy. No discharge.
  5. AI agentI'd like a technician to hear that. I'm putting you through to Mélanie now, and I'll stay on until she picks up.
  6. CustomerOkay, thanks.
  7. AI agent(to the technician) Daisy Lambert, spayed yesterday by Dr. Chen. Incision a little red and puffy, no discharge, eating. Putting the owner through.

After the call: Mélanie took the call with the summary and asked for a photo of the incision. Daisy's ten-day suture recheck was already booked, and the call is on her record.

What your team gets

  • Fewer surgeries cancelled because a pet ate
  • Consent and estimate confirmed before the morning
  • Next-day recovery checks on every surgery and dental
  • Worrying answers sent to a technician with the owner's words
  • Suture and dental rechecks booked
Set up with you: The team sets up a connection to your AVImark, Cornerstone or ezyVet surgery schedule, consent forms and patient records, and writes with your head technician the pre-op instructions, the recovery questions and which answers go to a tech.

Questions

Will it tell an owner the incision is fine?

No. It never says a symptom is nothing. Anything on your list goes to a technician, and the decision is theirs.

Does it call for every surgery?

For the procedures you choose: spays, neuters, dentals, mass removals. Each has its own instructions and recovery questions.

What if the owner forgot to fast the pet?

On the morning call or a call to the clinic, it tells them to call the surgery team before driving in, or puts them through.
