Inbound: the customer calls

Car loan and line of credit meetings booked by purpose

A member who wants a car loan and calls the branch at lunch is usually put on hold or told to call back. Now the member leaves the call with a Saturday meeting with the right lender and a list of what to bring.

When it starts

A member or someone thinking of joining calls about a loan, mortgage, line of credit or advisor.

What the agent does

Asks what it's for, picks the right person and length, books, texts what to bring.

What your team gets

A meeting on the lender's calendar with the purpose and rough amount noted.

How it works

  1. Asks what it's for

A car, a renovation, consolidating credit cards, a first mortgage, an RRSP loan or a TFSA question. The purpose decides who and how long.

  2. Picks the right person

Consumer lender, mortgage specialist or wealth advisor at the member's own branch, or the branch they choose.

  3. Offers real times

Two openings from that person's calendar, including the evenings and Saturdays your branches keep.

  4. Notes the basics

Roughly how much, a dealer quote or purchase price if they have one, and whether a co-borrower will come.

  5. Texts what to bring

Photo ID, recent pay stubs, the dealer's bill of sale or the renovation quote, from the list for that kind of loan.

  6. Welcomes new members too

Someone who isn't a member yet hears how joining works, from your instructions, and is booked to open a membership and talk about the loan in one visit.

Example call

  1. CustomerHi, I'd like to talk to someone about a car loan. Is Saturday possible?
  2. AI agentYes, it is. Are you already a member, and which branch is closest?
  3. CustomerYes, I've been with you for years. The Lethbridge branch.
  4. AI agentGreat. Do you have a car picked out yet, or are you still shopping?
  5. CustomerA 2022 Corolla at a dealer in town. About 27,000.
  6. AI agentThanks. Kim at Lethbridge has Saturday at 10 or 11:30, about 45 minutes. ... 10 it is. I'll text you what to bring: photo ID, two recent pay stubs, and the dealer's bill of sale if you have it.

After the call: Kim has Saturday at 10 with "car loan, 2022 Corolla, about 27,000, long-time member" on the booking. The member has a confirmation and the checklist, and arrives with the dealer's paperwork.

Questions

Will it tell members if they'll be approved?

No. It books the meeting. Approval and terms come from the lender.

Will it quote our loan rates?

It points members to your posted rates and leaves the rest to the lender at the meeting.

Can it book across several branches?

Yes. It knows each branch's staff and hours and books where the member wants to go.

Can someone who isn't a member book?

Yes. They hear how membership works and are booked to join and talk about the loan in one visit.
