Inbound: the customer calls

"Is Bella done yet?" answered from the grooming table

"Is she done?" is the call that pulls a groomer off the table five times an afternoon. Owners now hear exactly where their dog is, bath, dryer or final scissoring, and get a text the moment she's ready to go home.

When it starts

An owner calls to ask if their dog is ready, or the groomer marks a dog finished.

What the agent does

Reads the dog's stage from the grooming book, gives a pickup time, texts when done.

What your team gets

Groomers left on the table and owners at the door at the right time.

How it works

  1. Finds the dog

By the owner's phone number or the dog's name, and confirms which dog if they have two in today.

  2. Gives the stage

Checked in, in the bath, drying, being finished, or ready. From the grooming book, in plain words.

  3. Gives a real pickup time

From the groomer's estimate, not a guess. If the groomer is running late, it says so.

  4. Texts when she's done

The moment the groomer marks the dog finished, the owner gets a text, or a call if you prefer.

  5. Passes on what the groomer saw

A note the groomer wants shared, like a hot spot or a cut on a pad from a walk, is read out as written.

  6. Hands hard calls to the manager

An owner upset about a nick or a dog that seems off after a groom is warm-transferred to the manager.

Example call

  1. CustomerHi, is Bella done yet? I can grab her on my lunch.
  2. AI agentHi, is this Mr. Laurent? Bella's out of the bath and drying now. Jen expects her done around 12:45.
  3. CustomerAh, I have to be back at work by 1.
  4. AI agentWant me to text you the second she's finished? Or we can hold her until 5:30 at no charge.
  5. CustomerText me. If it's too late I'll come after work.
  6. AI agentWill do. Jen also noted a small hot spot behind her left ear. She left it clean and wanted you to know.

After the call: The text went out at 12:40 when Jen marked Bella finished. Mr. Laurent picked her up at 12:50, and Jen's hot-spot note is on Bella's profile for next time.

What your team gets

  • Status calls answered from the grooming book
  • Ready texts sent when a groomer marks a dog done
  • Groomers' notes passed on as written
  • Fewer dogs waiting in kennels at closing
  • Upset owners warm-transferred to the manager
Set up with you: The team sets up a connection to your grooming software so the agent reads each dog's stage and sees when a groomer marks it finished, and sets the late-pickup rules and how owners hear the dog is ready.

Questions

Does it work for daycare dogs too?

Yes. It tells owners when daycare closes, how late pickup works, and whether their dog is booked tomorrow.

Will it say anything about the dog's health?

Only the groomer's own note, as written. It never gives health advice and suggests the owner call their vet with any worry.

What if the owner says their dog came home hurt?

It listens, takes the details and puts them through to the manager. If the manager is busy, the owner's account reaches them right away in writing.
