Outbound: the agent calls

Next groom booked at six weeks, before mats set in

A doodle left at twelve weeks comes back matted, slower and dearer to groom. The agent calls when the dog is due at six or eight weeks, offers the usual groomer's times and keeps the coat, and the owner, coming back.

When it starts

A dog reaching its usual groom interval with nothing booked.

What the agent does

Calls with the usual groomer's times, books the groom, notes any change to the dog.

What your team gets

Regulars kept on schedule and a grooming book filled weeks ahead.

How it works

  1. Knows who's due

From each dog's groom history: the interval they usually come back at, and who has nothing booked.

  2. Calls about the dog by name

"Murphy's coming up on six weeks since his shave-down." Owners hear about their own dog, not a generic promo.

  3. Offers the usual groomer

Two times with the groomer the dog knows, on the days the owner usually picks.

  4. Notes what changed

A new hot spot, a limp, a puppy now on adult food. It goes on the booking for the groomer.

  5. Books ahead

Many owners take a standing six-week booking. Before the holidays, it offers December times early.

  6. Respects a no

Grooming at home this time? It notes when to try again. An owner who says stop isn't called again.

Example call

  1. AI agentHi Mrs. Kowalski, it's Emma from Wag and Wash in Guelph. Murphy's coming up on six weeks since his shave-down. Want to get him in before it mats again?
  2. CustomerOh, good timing. It's starting to get fluffy.
  3. AI agentKayla has Thursday the 20th at 8, same as last time, or Saturday the 22nd at 9.
  4. CustomerThursday. Can we just keep him on every six weeks?
  5. AI agentAbsolutely. I'll book the 20th and every six weeks after that with Kayla. Still sensitive about his back feet?
  6. CustomerAlways.
  7. AI agentNoted again. I'll text you the date, and you'll get a reminder before each one.

After the call: Murphy is booked with Kayla on the 20th and every six weeks after, sensitive back feet carried over, and Mrs. Kowalski has a text with the first date.

What your team gets

  • Regulars rebooked at their usual interval
  • Standing bookings set up on the call
  • Holiday grooms booked before December fills
  • Changes in the dog noted for the groomer
  • A report of dogs due, called and booked
Set up with you: The team sets up a connection to your grooming software for each dog's history and the groomers' books, and sets with you the interval by breed, the calling hours and when holiday grooms open.

Questions

How does it know a dog's interval?

From the dog's own visit history, or the interval you set per breed, like six weeks for doodles and twelve for a short coat.

Can it fill the December rush?

Yes. It can call regulars in early November with December times, before the book closes.

Call or text?

Your choice. Many shops text first and call only owners who don't reply.
