Warehouse arrival calls that book the delivery truck
The sectional ordered in March arrives at the warehouse. That afternoon the customer gets a call, picks a window on the day the truck runs to Orillia, and the crew knows about the narrow stairwell before they load.
A special-order piece is received at the warehouse, or a stock piece is ready to go out.
Calls the customer, offers windows on the route days for their area, asks the questions the crew needs.
A delivery on the route schedule with access notes, and a crew that isn't surprised at the door.
How it works
- Sees the piece arrive
The moment the order shows as received and inspected at the warehouse, the customer goes on the call list.
- Calls with good news
"Your sectional is here." It names the pieces on the order so the customer knows it's the right one.
- Offers the truck's days
Each area has its own route days. It offers windows only on the days the truck goes to their town, and only in slots with room on the truck.
- Asks what the crew needs
Stairs and how many, elevator booking for condos, the narrowest door or turn, whether legs come off, and whether the old couch or mattress goes out.
- Confirms the window
A text with the date and window, what to clear, and a note that the crew calls 30 minutes ahead.
- Keeps trying
No answer: a short voicemail and a text with a link to pick a window, then a retry the next day.
Example call
- AI agentHi, is this Mr. Gauthier? It's Emma from Lakehead Furniture. Good news, your sectional and the matching ottoman just came into our warehouse.
- CustomerFinally! When can you bring it?
- AI agentOur truck runs to Orillia on Tuesdays and Fridays. I have this Friday from 8 to noon or next Tuesday from 1 to 5.
- CustomerFriday morning.
- AI agentFriday 8 to noon. Is it going upstairs or to the main floor, and is there a tight turn on the way in?
- CustomerBasement. The stairs turn halfway down.
- AI agentThanks, I'll let the crew know about the turn on the basement stairs. Should they take the old couch away?
- CustomerYes, please.
- AI agentDone. Removal of the old couch is 75 dollars on our price list, added to the order. I'll text you the details now, and the crew will call half an hour before they arrive.
After the call: Friday's Orillia route shows the Gauthier sectional and ottoman from 8 to noon, with "basement, stairs turn halfway" and couch removal on the delivery ticket. The customer has a text with the window.

Questions
What if the customer isn't ready for it?
It books the first date that works for them. Your storage policy and any fee after the free period are read as you wrote them.
Can it book condo elevators?
It asks the customer to book the elevator for the window and notes the building's rules on the ticket for the crew.
Does it call about every order?
Every order you choose: special orders, stock deliveries, or both. Pickups can get a ready-for-pickup call instead.
