Inbound: the customer calls

Renovation bins booked by size and driveway spot

A bathroom gut, a roof tear-off and a garage cleanout each need a different bin. The agent helps the caller pick the size, checks the driveway and the weight, and books the drop on a day the truck has a bin free.

When it starts

A homeowner or contractor calls about a bin for a renovation, a roof, a move or a cleanout.

What the agent does

Sizes the bin, checks placement and weight, reads what can't go in, books the drop-off.

What your team gets

A drop on the driver's run with the bin size, placement notes and the rental period.

How it works

  1. Learns the job

A bathroom, a kitchen, a deck, a roof, a basement full of boxes. Shingles and concrete are heavy, so it asks.

  2. Suggests the size

From your bin sizes and what customers usually need: a 10-yard for a small bathroom, a 20-yard for a kitchen, a heavy-load bin for shingles.

  3. Checks where it goes

Driveway, street or lawn, how wide, overhead wires, and whether they'd like boards under it to protect the asphalt.

  4. Reads what can't go in

Paint, propane, tires, batteries and anything on your list. It texts the list with the booking.

  5. Books the drop

A drop day from your bin schedule, only when a bin of that size is free, with the rental period and your weight limit.

Example call

  1. CustomerCan I get a bin Friday? We're gutting the bathroom and pulling up the hall tile.
  2. AI agentWe can do that. For one bathroom plus a hallway of tile, most people go with our 14-yard. Is it going on your driveway?
  3. CustomerYes. It's a single driveway, though.
  4. AI agentA 14-yard fits a single driveway fine. Would you like boards under it to protect the asphalt? There's no charge.
  5. CustomerSure, yes.
  6. AI agentI have a 14-yard free Friday, drop between 7 and 10. That's 449 dollars for seven days, with two tonnes included. Paint, tires and propane can't go in. Shall I book it?
  7. CustomerBook it. 31 Mill Street in Orangeville.
  8. AI agentDone. I'll text you the window and the list of what can't go in.

After the call: Friday's run has a 14-yard bin for 31 Mill Street, Orangeville, with boards under it, seven days and two tonnes included. The customer has the window and the restricted list by text.

What your team gets

  • Bins booked only when that size is free on the day
  • Placement, boards and overhead wires noted for the driver
  • Restricted items read and texted on every booking
  • Rental period and weight allowance on the booking
  • Contractors' repeat bins booked in one short call
Set up with you: The team sets up a connection to your bin inventory and dispatch board (CurbWaste, Docket or Vonigo), loads your bin sizes, rates, weight allowances and restricted list, and sets your drop windows.

Questions

What if they're not sure which size?

It asks about the job and suggests one from what your customers usually need. If it's close, it suggests the bigger one and says why.

Can it book a bin on the street?

Yes, if you place bins on the street. It notes the spot and reads what you've told it about street placement in that town.

What about overweight bins?

It gives your weight allowance and your price per extra tonne from your rate sheet, so nobody is surprised.
