Outbound: the agent calls

Gas, water and door widths asked before the install crew rolls

The fridge that won't fit through the side door is caught on the phone, not on the porch. Every install visit is booked with the measurements, the hookups and the old unit sorted.

When it starts

A sale closes with delivery or installation on the invoice.

What the agent does

Calls to book a window, asks the install questions for each appliance, confirms haul-away.

What your team gets

An install visit with every hookup and access note, and fewer second trips.

How it works

  1. Reads the invoice

Which appliances, whether install is on it, and any parts sold with them: a stacking kit, a gas connector, a new water line.

  2. Books the window

Two open windows on the install crew's schedule for that area, with room for the job's length.

  3. Asks the fit questions

The opening width and depth, the narrowest door or hall on the way in, and whether the fridge doors need to come off to get through.

  4. Asks the hookup questions

Gas or electric and which plug for a range, a water line and shut-off for a fridge, a drain and shut-off under the sink for a dishwasher.

  5. Catches the missing part

No water line on the invoice for a fridge with an ice maker, or a dryer cord missing? It notes it for sales to call about before the visit.

  6. Confirms haul-away

Whether the old units go out and where they are, then a text with the window and what to clear.

Example call

  1. AI agentHi Mrs. Kowalczyk, it's Emma from Northshore Appliance. Thanks for your purchase yesterday. I'm calling to book delivery and installation for your fridge and range.
  2. CustomerOh good. When can you come?
  3. AI agentI have Wednesday from 8 to noon or Thursday from 12 to 4. ... Wednesday it is. For the fridge, is there a water line and shut-off behind where it goes?
  4. CustomerYes, the old one had an ice maker.
  5. AI agentPerfect. The new one is 36 inches wide. Do you know the width of the opening, and the front door?
  6. CustomerThe opening is 36 and a half. The front door is narrow, but the patio door is wide.
  7. AI agentI'll note the crew should come in through the patio door. And the range, is it gas?
  8. CustomerGas. And please take the old ones.
  9. AI agentHaul-away for both is on your invoice. You're booked Wednesday 8 to noon. I'll text you the details, and the crew calls when they're on the way.

After the call: Wednesday's install route shows the fridge and gas range with "water line in place, opening 36.5, use patio door, haul away two". The customer has the window by text.

What your team gets

  • Install visits booked with the opening size, access and hookups
  • Missing parts caught and sent to sales before the truck goes
  • Haul-away confirmed with where the old units are
  • Gas jobs booked with the crew your rules require
  • Fewer installs that end with "we'll have to come back"
Set up with you: The team loads the install questions for each appliance type and your crew rules, and sets up a connection to your point of sale and delivery scheduling (STORIS, Lightspeed or Descartes) so the agent reads invoices and books install windows.

Questions

Can it book a gas range install?

Yes, with the crew or fitter your rules say does gas, and it asks about the shut-off and the connector.

What if the fridge won't fit?

It catches it on the call when the opening or the door is too small, and sends it to sales to sort out before the truck goes.

Does it call for TVs and electronics too?

Yes, for wall mounts and home theatre installs, with the wall type, mount and where the cables go.
