Alteration fittings and rush orders
Dry cleaning has two rushes a day, before work and after it, and the same person runs the counter and the phone through both. They're tagging shirts, finding orders on the conveyor and taking payment while the phone asks the same handful of questions: are you open Saturday, how long for a suit, do you hem pants, I lost my ticket. The tailor in the back is pinning a hem and can't pick up either.
RealVoice answers the shop's phone with your hours, your usual turnaround for shirts, suits and household items like duvets, and your price list for pressing, cleaning and common alterations. It books fittings with the tailor for hems, taking in a suit, bridesmaid dresses and wedding gowns, and explains your lost-ticket policy so the customer knows what to bring. Wedding dress cleaning and preservation calls get your listed price, or the details your owner needs to quote.
During setup, the team connects it to your shop's order system, so a customer who gives a ticket number or phone number hears whether that order is ready, and gets a text when it is. What it won't do is promise a rush the plant can't do. Rush requests, like the suit someone needs pressed before a funeral tomorrow morning, go to the counter right away with the deadline attached so someone can give a real yes or no. A customer calling about a damaged or missing garment is warm-transferred to the owner with a short private summary.
After the call: The counter and the owner get a text and an email marked rush, with Ravi's name, the eleven o'clock deadline and the hem, so they can call him back with a straight answer. The 4:30 fitting is in the RealVoice schedule, Ravi has his confirmation text, and the summary and recording are in the portal.
Today it books alteration fittings and rush requests into the RealVoice schedule in the portal, keeps a record of every call and message there, and texts customers their fitting confirmation, plus a ready-for-pickup text once your order system is connected during setup. If your shop runs CleanCloud, SMRT, Cents or Square Appointments, the team can set up a connection to it; custom integrations are quoted separately.
A dry cleaning customer is worth more than one order. Someone dropping off five shirts and a suit every week can easily spend $40 a visit, around $2,000 a year. If three callers a week get no answer and one in ten of them moves their shirts to the cleaner across the street for good, the shop loses about fifteen regulars a year, roughly $30,000 of steady weekly business. Yes. Once it's connected to your order system during setup, it looks the order up by ticket or phone number and says whether it's ready, and customers can get a text the moment their order is ready for pickup.
It explains your policy, such as bringing photo ID or giving the phone number on the order, so the customer arrives ready and the counter isn't arguing about it.
Yes. It books hems, take-ins, sleeve adjustments and bridal fittings on the tailor's days and tells customers to bring the shoes or undergarments they'll wear.
It takes the garment, the deadline and the customer's number and passes it to the counter straight away. It only promises a turnaround you've told it is guaranteed.
If you give it set prices, it quotes them. If the price depends on the fabric, beading or train, it collects the details and books the customer to bring the gown in for a look.
Yes. It speaks English and French as well as many other languages, and confirms the language with the caller before changing over.
